This is what comes to mind upon winter’s arrival.
The white fluffy powder announcing winters arrival bringing with it all the winter sports. Skiing Snowmobiling, Sledding and snowshoeing just to name a few. Fun times ahead with hot chocolate, warm cider and the occasional cocktail. Christmas is just around the corner and the snow on the trees perfect the scene.
Challenging myself when I have not been on skis for a while. Sore legs, sore feet and the courage to make that turn on a steep hill.
Meeting friends, laughing, freezing, trying to get down the hill before your toes freeze. The pain when your toes unfreeze big ski clothes, clumsy movement, speeding down the hill with the wind in my eyes. Red noses, rosy cheeks, squeals from kids and adults alike.
Picturesque views. Massive mountains towering above us majestically. Time to reflect on the day, a single bird song, silence. The sun on your face warming your soul.
